  Interesting post and rant. also like this comment "So Newser's ability to display a bunch of news stories at a glance based on your tastes for very hard versus very soft is great. Newser's belief that users are just looking for the perfect two graf capsule that boils down a rich, interesting bit of storytelling has been disproven again and again by every company that's tried to substitute filtering for actual content. " I've put the words "curator and aggregator" into a bunch of mouths who are now trying to make a living and run companies doing it, but I'm changing my mind a bit on the value proposition for the aggregated. The NYT doesn't need newser or the Huffington Post as much as they need them. Still thinking about it and where I stand on it.
